PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi market contains a logical contradiction: both possible match outcomes (ENTER FORCE.36 wins OR REVATI wins) are mapped to the same resolution (Yes), making the market logically unresolvable and contradicting binary market design principles.Hero tip: Do not trade or settle the Kalshi market as written. Escalate to PredictionHero compliance immediately. Use only Polymarket markets for this event group, which have clear, mutually exclusive outcomes and comprehensive edge-case rules.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Market states: 'If ENTER FORCE.36 wins... resolves to Yes. If REVATI wins... resolves to Yes.' This is a logical tautology—every possible match outcome resolves to Yes, rendering the market meaningless and unresolvable.
  • Polymarket: Four distinct markets with clear binary/ternary outcomes: (1) Match Winner (REVATI vs ENTER FORCE.36), (2) Game 1 Winner, (3) Game 2 Winner, (4) Games Total O/U 2.5. All include comprehensive edge-case handling (cancellation, delay >7 days, forfeit, incomplete play, 50-50 tie-breakers). Resolution source: Liquipedia with 2-hour fallback to credible consensus.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Overwatch match between REVATI and ENTER FORCE.36 in the OCS Japan Stage 2 Group Stage, initially scheduled for June 15 at 6:30AM ET. This market will resolve to "REVATI" if REVATI win the match against ENTER FORCE.36. This market will resolve to "ENTER FORCE.36" if ENTER FORCE.36 win the match against REVATI. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets like those tracked here operate on peer-to-peer pricing rather than bookmaker margins, often reflecting sharper consensus when liquidity is high. Sportsbooks build in vig and manage liability across many bets, while prediction markets let traders directly set odds through supply and demand. For esports events like this one, prediction markets can move faster as new information emerges, though sportsbook lines may offer tighter spreads during peak hours. Comparing both sources helps identify which market is pricing in the latest team form or roster changes.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Kalshi and Polymarket attract different trader demographics and operate under distinct contract designs—Kalshi uses binary yes/no outcomes while Polymarket supports more granular prop structures. Liquidity concentration also varies; one platform may see heavier volume on match winner while the other emphasizes totals or map spreads. Regulatory differences and fee structures can shift incentives too. These gaps create arbitrage opportunities for sharp traders and highlight which platform's user base has stronger conviction on the Overwatch matchup.

Key catalysts include roster announcements or player substitutions from either team, recent scrim results or tournament performance, injury or availability updates, and meta shifts in Overwatch patches. Coach interviews or team statements about preparation can also shift sentiment. Closer to the match, warm-up match results and live pre-game analysis often trigger sharp repricing. Monitor esports news outlets and team social channels for breaking updates; sudden odds swings often precede public announcements, rewarding early traders who spot emerging information first.
