This market refers to the Overwatch Upper bracket quarterfinal 3 match between Geekay Esports and AG.AL International in the OCS Midseason Championship Group B, initially scheduled for July 29 at 1:30PM ET. This market will resolve to "Geekay Esports" if Geekay Esports win the match against AG.AL International. This market will resolve to "AG.AL International" if AG.AL International win the match against Geekay Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/overwatch/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital. For this market, comparing the current prediction market probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal whether professional oddsmakers and crowd forecasters align on the likely winner. Significant gaps may indicate where one venue sees value the other has missed.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader positions into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome, and the cumulative volume and order flow determine the probability displayed. As more capital flows toward one team, the odds shift to reflect that conviction. The current price reflects the aggregate belief of all active traders on the platform at any given moment.
This market resolves around Jul 29, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be determined by which team wins the best-of-three series in this Group B encounter. Until that time, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information emerges—team roster updates, recent performance, or injury reports. Resolution happens automatically once the event result is confirmed and recorded.
Several catalysts could shift odds before the match begins. Roster changes, player injuries, or last-minute lineup announcements often trigger sharp moves. Recent tournament results or head-to-head records between these teams may surface new analysis that reshapes trader conviction. Coaching adjustments, map pool strategy leaks, or public statements from team leadership can also influence positioning. Additionally, broader esports news—sponsorship changes, team morale reports, or meta-game shifts in Overwatch—could prompt traders to reassess their edge and adjust their positions accordingly.
