In the upcoming Leagues Cup game between Orlando City SC and Atlético San Luis, scheduled for August 12, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Orlando City SC vs. Atlético San Luis match originally scheduled for August 12, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
The event evaluates multiple thresholds for the total goals scored in the Orlando vs San Luis professional Leagues Cup soccer match scheduled for August 12, 2026. Each threshold—ranging from over 0.5 goals to over 5.5 goals—is assessed based on the total number of goals scored by both teams after the full 90 minutes of play plus any stoppage time, with the explicit exclusion of goals scored during extra time or penalty shootouts. If the combined goals meet or exceed any specified threshold, the corresponding market resolves to 'Yes.' The rules uniformly apply to all thresholds, ensuring consistency across the event. It is important to note that Kalshi, the platform hosting this event, has no official affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks and brand names referenced belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds on this market often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect decentralized trader sentiment rather than set bookmaker adjustments. While sportsbooks may offer spread or over/under lines, this market lets participants bet on the precise score, with prices that can be more volatile and responsive to new information, such as player injuries or weather updates.
On Polymarket and Kalshi, pricing mechanisms and user bases vary, creating different dynamics. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might attract more soccer-focused traders, skewing its odds toward certain outcomes. Additionally, liquidity differences can amplify price swings, especially for a niche market like this one, where fewer traders may drive larger adjustments.
Injuries to key players, weather conditions affecting play, and tactical changes announced by coaches can all shift this market. High-impact moments like red cards or early goals often cause rapid re-pricing, as traders adjust for the new probability landscape. Any news that changes the perceived balance of power can move odds significantly before the match concludes.
