These markets evaluate how many points Oregon State and Houston will score in the fourth quarter of their college football game on September 5, 2026. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that quarter.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the fourth quarter (excluding overtime) of the Oregon St. vs Houston college football game scheduled for September 5, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined fourth-quarter points exceed the threshold (2.5, 5.5, 7.5, 10.5, 12.5, 13.5, 16.5, 19.5, 20.5, 23.5, or 27.5), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored during the fourth quarter (excluding overtime) count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can sometimes diverge from traditional sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks often set initial odds to balance betting action, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a different outcome is more likely than implied by sportsbook odds, the price here will adjust accordingly. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast probabilities, especially as event time approaches, though discrepancies can exist.
This market resolves around Sep 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the total points scored in the 4th quarter of the Oregon State vs Houston game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score will be sourced from official game statistics and used to determine whether the total points exceeded or fell short of the threshold defined by the contracts traded on Kalshi. The resolution process relies on publicly available data to ensure an objective and transparent outcome.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Late-breaking news regarding key player injuries for either Oregon State or Houston would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they impact the style of play, could also shift expectations. Furthermore, any updates on coaching strategies or team morale could be factored in by traders. As the game approaches, even the perceived momentum of each team based on recent performance could impact trading activity and the overall price.
