In the upcoming Brazil Serie B game between Operário Ferroviário EC and Ceará SC, scheduled for September 26, 2026 at 3:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Operário Ferroviário EC vs. Ceará SC match originally scheduled for September 26, 2026 at 3:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Comparing prediction market odds to sportsbook odds reveals how collective intelligence differs from traditional oddsmaking. Sportsbooks typically set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, aiming to balance action on both sides. This market, however, reflects the wisdom of the crowd, where traders buy and sell contracts based on their own research and beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams' strengths and weaknesses. Often, prediction markets can offer more nuanced probabilities than standard sportsbook offerings.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders deposit USDC to purchase shares representing their belief in a particular exact score. As more shares are bought, the price of that outcome increases, reflecting higher probability. Conversely, selling shares drives the price down. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome is determined by supply and demand, constantly adjusting to incorporate new information and trader sentiment. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the collective forecast of all participants.
This market resolves around Sep 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Operário Ferroviário EC versus Ceará SC match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the official result published by the governing football league and widely reported by reputable sports news sources. Any protests or appeals that do not change the official result will not affect the market's resolution.
Several signals could significantly move this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Operário or Ceará would likely impact trading activity. Changes in team form, such as a surprising win or loss in a recent match, could also shift probabilities. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even tactical announcements from the managers, could influence trader sentiment. Furthermore, any public statements from team officials or analysts offering strong opinions about the expected outcome could drive volume and price fluctuations in this market.
