These markets evaluate how many points are scored in a specific quarter of a college football game between Oklahoma State and Tulsa. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that quarter.
The markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the third quarter of the Oklahoma St. vs Tulsa college football game scheduled for September 5, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined third-quarter points exceed the threshold (2.5, 5.5, 7.5, 10.5, 12.5, 13.5, 16.5, 19.5, 20.5, 23.5, or 27.5), the respective market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points scored during the official third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own information and beliefs. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's significant public information or a strong consensus forming. It's common to see this market incorporate information faster than sportsbooks, potentially offering more accurate probabilities as the event approaches, although that isn't always the case.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts. The price of a contract represents the probability of a specific outcome occurring. As more people buy contracts predicting a certain total, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price reflects the collective assessment of all participants, and is constantly updating based on supply and demand. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded.
This market resolves around Sep 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total score of the 3rd quarter of the Oklahoma State vs Tulsa game will be used to determine which contracts payout. The market will settle based on the official game statistics, as reported by a recognized sports data provider. All trading will cease once the outcome is known, and winning contracts will be automatically credited to the holders’ accounts.
Several factors could influence this market before it resolves. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Oklahoma State or Tulsa would likely cause movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest a high-scoring or low-scoring game, could also impact trading activity. Unexpected line movements in traditional sportsbooks might prompt traders to reassess their positions. Finally, significant public sentiment shifts, perhaps driven by expert analysis or social media trends, could also contribute to price fluctuations in this market.
