On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome – Ohio winning the 1st half, South Alabama winning the 1st half, or a tie. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome as perceived by the market participants. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time assessment of the likely winner of the first half. The current volume indicates the level of interest and conviction behind each outcome.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on which team is leading at the end of the first half of the Ohio vs South Alabama football game. Any potential overtime periods are not considered for the purpose of determining the first-half winner. The official game results will be used to determine the winning outcome in this market, ensuring a transparent and verifiable resolution process.
Several factors could influence the price movement in this market. News regarding key player injuries for either Ohio or South Alabama would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions, could also shift the odds. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team morale might also play a role. Finally, any large-volume trades on Kalshi itself can create momentum and cause the prices to move, reflecting a change in market sentiment before the game begins.
