This market refers to the cricket match between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh scheduled for July 6 2026 in ODI Series Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money conviction. Prediction markets typically incorporate breaking news and sentiment shifts faster than sportsbooks adjust their lines. For this market, comparing Polymarket prices to major sportsbook offerings can reveal whether traders are pricing in information that oddsmakers have not yet fully reflected, offering a potential edge for informed bettors.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker and order-book mechanism where traders directly set bid and ask prices by buying and selling outcome shares. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the aggregate belief of all active traders; as new information emerges or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their positions, moving the odds in real time. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices respond to new catalysts. The current market probability is derived from the share price, giving you a transparent, continuously updated measure of trader conviction about the series result.
This market resolves around Jul 13, 2026, once the Zimbabwe vs Bangladesh ODI series concludes and the final result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official series winner as documented by major cricket authorities and sports news outlets. Until that point, prices may fluctuate as matches are played, injuries or weather emerge, and team performance data accumulates. Resolution is automatic once the event result is confirmed, and payouts are distributed to holders of the winning outcome shares.
Key catalysts include team roster announcements, player injuries or absences, recent form and head-to-head records, and venue conditions. Weather forecasts for match days can significantly impact odds, as can toss outcomes and early-match momentum. Major injuries to star players, coaching changes, or unexpected team selections often trigger sharp repricing. Live match results during the series will drive the most dramatic moves; early wins or losses shift the probability of an overall series victory. Political or logistical disruptions, though rare, could also influence trader sentiment and market prices leading up to resolution.
