This market refers to the cricket match between West Indies and New Zealand scheduled for July 13 2026 in ODI Series West Indies vs. New Zealand. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by traders risking real capital on outcomes they believe are mispriced. For this market, comparing Polymarket odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where the crowd sees value differently—sometimes prediction markets lead, sometimes they lag. Sharp bettors monitor both to identify arbitrage or conviction edges.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds continuously as traders buy and sell shares. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome contract trades independently, and the sum of all outcome prices equals one dollar, so the implied probability of any result is simply its share price. Larger trades move the price more sharply, and liquidity depth determines how much slippage you'll experience on entry or exit.
This market resolves around Jul 20, 2026, once the series concludes and outcomes are verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will reflect the final result—whether determined by match wins, aggregate runs, or series victory, depending on the specific market structure. Traders should monitor official cricket boards and major sports news outlets in the lead-up to settlement to stay informed of any changes to scheduling or format.
Key catalysts include team roster announcements, injury updates to star players, recent form and head-to-head records, and weather forecasts for match venues. Toss outcomes and early innings momentum can shift sentiment sharply once play begins. Betting syndicates and sharp money often flow in the hours before first pitch, so watch for volume spikes and price moves as a signal of informed positioning. Commentary from analysts and former players may also influence retail trader behavior.
