On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker and trader participation, where each outcome's probability is determined by the balance of buy and sell orders. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, and prices adjust dynamically to reflect the latest consensus on which batter will finish as the series' leading run-scorer. This continuous repricing mechanism typically produces more granular odds than traditional fixed-line sportsbooks.
This market resolves around Jul 23, 2026, once the ODI series concludes and the top batter is officially confirmed. The outcome is verified against credible public sources reporting the final run tallies for each player across all matches in the series. Once the leading run-scorer is determined and publicly reported, the market settles in favor of the correct batter, and traders' positions are finalized.
Several catalysts can shift odds in this market: early-series performance by key batters, injuries or absences affecting squad composition, weather conditions impacting match schedules, and momentum swings as the series progresses. Strong individual innings or consistent run-scoring streaks will likely boost a player's odds, while poor form or reduced playing time could weaken them. Team strategy changes, pitch conditions favoring certain batting styles, and head-to-head matchups between rival batters can also trigger significant price movements as traders reassess probabilities.
