Polymarket

This market refers to the cricket match between England and India scheduled for July 16 2026 in ODI Series England vs India. This market resolves according to the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the England vs India ODI series tracks real-time odds and trading activity as participants forecast the outcome of this international cricket matchup. The interface displays current market pricing, historical price movements, and 24-hour volume data, giving traders visibility into how sentiment shifts as the series approaches and unfolds. This market aggregates predictions from all active traders on the platform, reflecting collective expectations about which team will prevail in the series.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets price outcomes based on trader conviction and capital allocation. For this market, comparing the implied probability here to major sportsbook lines can reveal whether bettors and traders disagree on the likely winner. Prediction markets sometimes lead sportsbooks in pricing efficiency, especially when new information emerges during the series.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders purchase shares representing each outcome, and the price of those shares adjusts continuously based on supply and demand. The current odds reflect the aggregate belief of all participants holding positions in the market, with larger trades moving the price more significantly than smaller ones.

This market resolves around Jul 23, 2026, once the series concludes and the winner is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the final result of the ODI series between the two teams, with the winning nation confirmed through official cricket governing bodies and major sports news outlets. Traders should monitor the series schedule and any postponements or format changes that might affect the resolution timeline.

Key player injuries, team roster announcements, and recent form heading into the series can shift trader sentiment significantly. Weather conditions at match venues and pitch reports may influence perceived advantage. Live match results during the series will drive the most dramatic price movements, as each game outcome updates expectations about the final winner. Betting syndicate activity and sharp money flowing into one side can also signal information asymmetry and move odds sharply.
