Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant number of traders believe a particular exact score is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will move accordingly. This can sometimes lead to opportunities for value betting, where you find discrepancies between the two types of odds.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores. The price of each share reflects the market’s collective probability of that score occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and share their insights, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. The higher the demand for shares of a particular score, the higher its price will climb, indicating a greater perceived likelihood of that outcome. This dynamic pricing ensures the market stays responsive to new information and changing expectations.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final, official result of the Oakland Roots vs. Phoenix Rising match is verifiable from credible public reporting.
