This event tracks the hourly rental price of NVIDIA RTX 5090 GPU compute resources during the week of August 24-28, 2026, resolving based on the price observed on August 28 at 4 PM ET. The price data is sourced from Ornn's compute pricing dashboard and reflects the cost per hour for accessing RTX 5090 computational power.
Resolution is based on the NVIDIA RTX 5090 compute per hour value as reported by Ornn (https://dashboard.ornnai.com/) on August 28, 2026 at 4 PM ET. If no data is published by Ornn for the specified date and time, the most recently available published data will be used. The USD iteration of the index is used, with values rounded to two decimal places. Revisions to the underlying data made after the expiration time are not accounted for in resolution.
Prediction market odds often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts because they aggregate real-time trader conviction rather than static published reports. While analysts may issue price targets or availability estimates based on historical data and supply-chain models, this market reflects live belief updates as new information emerges. Traders betting on specific hourly price points incorporate leaked specs, pre-order demand, and competitive positioning in ways that can outpace or contradict analyst consensus, making the odds a complementary signal for understanding expected outcomes.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares tied to specific hourly price outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a fractional claim on the event's resolution, and the current bid-ask spread reflects the market's confidence in that outcome. As new information surfaces or trading volume shifts, prices adjust in real time, allowing participants to enter or exit positions dynamically throughout the countdown to Week 35.
This market resolves around Aug 28, 2026, once the hourly price window closes and the outcome can be verified against credible public sources. The resolution hinges on the actual NVIDIA RTX 5090 price recorded during that specific hour in Week 35, whether through official retailer listings, press releases, or widely reported market data. Traders' positions settle based on whether the final price falls within their predicted range or outcome category.
Key catalysts include official NVIDIA announcements about RTX 5090 specifications, performance benchmarks, or launch timing, which can shift demand expectations and pricing models. Competitor GPU releases or price cuts from AMD or Intel may pressure or support the prediction. Supply-chain disruptions, retailer pre-order data, and macroeconomic shifts affecting hardware demand could also sway trader conviction. Leaked benchmarks, gaming industry commentary, and real-time inventory reports closer to Week 35 will likely drive final price discovery and market movement.
