This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Kasaragod and Trivandrum scheduled for 2026-06-28 in NSK Trophy State T20. This market resolves according to (1) the official toss result and (2) the finalized match result as published by https://www.espncricinfo.com/. The outcome corresponding to Kasaragod will be considered correct if Kasaragod is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Trivandrum will be considered correct if Trivandrum is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price outcomes differently. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets reflect real-time supply and demand from traders betting their own capital. This market aggregates the collective judgment of participants without a built-in house edge. Sportsbook odds may lag behind breaking news or shift more slowly, whereas prediction market prices adjust instantly as new information emerges. For toss outcomes, both venues typically converge on similar probabilities over time, though prediction markets often react faster to late-breaking team or weather updates.
On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism that adjusts odds based on the volume and direction of incoming trades. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more capital flowing toward one outcome, the higher its price rises, and vice versa. This continuous repricing ensures the market reflects the latest consensus. Liquidity providers can deposit capital into the market's pool to earn fees, while traders buy and sell shares of each outcome at prices determined by the AMM formula. The toss outcome with the highest implied probability at any moment represents the market's strongest conviction.
This market resolves around Jul 6, 2026, once the NSK Trophy State T20 toss has been conducted and verified. The outcome is confirmed against credible public reporting from the match broadcast or official league sources. Whichever team wins the coin toss is recorded as the resolution outcome. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. The resolution is typically finalized within hours of the toss being called on the field.
Several factors can shift odds before the toss occurs. Team news—such as injury announcements or lineup changes—may alter trader sentiment about which captain will be more aggressive in calling the toss. Weather updates, pitch reports, and dew forecasts can influence perceived advantage and thus toss strategy. Social media buzz, expert commentary, and historical head-to-head toss records may sway trader conviction. Late-breaking venue or scheduling changes could also trigger repricing. As match day draws closer, volatility often increases as traders finalize positions and react to final confirmations from the league or broadcasters.
