These markets track the performance gap between Notre Dame and Purdue in the first half of their college football matchup. Outcomes depend on whether Notre Dame or Purdue achieves specific point differentials during the initial 30 minutes of play.
All markets resolve based solely on points scored during the first half of the Notre Dame vs Purdue college football game scheduled for September 26, 2026. For Notre Dame markets, resolution occurs if Notre Dame holds a lead exceeding specified margins (from 2.5 to 34.5 points) at halftime. For Purdue markets, resolution occurs if Purdue leads by more than set thresholds (2.5 to 10.5 points) at halftime. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original start time, all markets remain active and resolve according to the actual halftime score. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of the specific point differential condition.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often proving more accurate than traditional sportsbook odds, especially as the event approaches. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. However, initial sportsbook lines can sometimes differ significantly from the opening prices on Kalshi due to varying information and risk assessments. It's common to see convergence as more information becomes available and the event nears.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the first-half spread. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that spread occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable trades are rewarded. The current price indicates what the collective market believes is the most likely outcome, and it fluctuates based on new information and trading activity. The market depth shows the volume available at different price points.
This market resolves around Sep 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official first-half point spread as determined by the game’s official results. The platform will verify the outcome against established sports data sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders holding contracts on the correct spread will receive a payout of 100 cents per contract, while those holding contracts on the incorrect spread will receive nothing.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Notre Dame or Purdue teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring one team's style of play, could also impact the market. Public perception shifts based on analyst predictions or breaking news stories could also drive trading activity. Finally, large-volume trades by informed participants on Kalshi could quickly alter the price and reflect new information or insights.
