Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a more accurate forecast of events than traditional sportsbook odds, as they aggregate the wisdom of the crowd and allow participants to financially stake their beliefs. However, sportsbook odds often incorporate a 'vig' or commission, while prediction markets typically have lower transaction costs. It’s common to see differences in probabilities, especially as new information emerges. Comparing this market to sportsbook lines reveals whether the crowd believes there’s value in a particular outcome that sportsbooks may be under or overestimating.
