This market will resolve to "Portugal" if Portugal are the first to score within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. If neither team scores within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, this market will resolve "Neither". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Neither". This market refers only to the outcome within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance their risk, incorporating a margin for profit, while this market is driven purely by traders expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither guarantees the actual result of the match.
This market resolves around Sep 27, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team is officially recorded as scoring the first goal in the Norway versus Portugal match. Any potential disputes will be assessed against official match data and widely available sources. The platform will verify the result and distribute payouts to winning share holders based on the final outcome of the game.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player injuries or suspensions for key players on either Norway or Portugal would likely cause movement. Changes in team form, tactical announcements from the managers, or even weather conditions on match day could also shift trader sentiment. Unexpected news regarding team morale or internal conflicts could also play a role. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of each team’s likelihood of scoring first has the potential to move this market.
