Once the card totals are confirmed, the market settles automatically, and traders' positions are paid out according to the final result.

Several factors could shift odds in this market before resolution. Team news—such as key player injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—may alter expectations around discipline and aggression. Referee assignment announcements can influence perceived card likelihood, as different officials have varying card-distribution patterns. Recent head-to-head history and disciplinary records of both squads provide context for traders adjusting their positions. Additionally, pre-match media coverage, tactical previews, and betting market activity on related markets can trigger repricing as new information becomes available.
