This set of markets tracks how many points each team will score in an upcoming college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the points a team needs to score for the market to settle positively.
All markets resolve based on the official final point totals of Indiana and Northwestern in their college football game scheduled for September 25, 2026. For each market, if the specified team scores above the stated point threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the result still applies. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any affiliation with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy exists, it could indicate that the market perceives information differently than sportsbooks, or that one venue has more accurate information. It's common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines as new information emerges.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different team total outcomes, and the prices of these contracts determine the implied probabilities. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a contract reflects the market's assessment of the likelihood of that specific outcome occurring. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust, providing a dynamic and real-time forecast. The market’s depth and volume indicate the level of confidence in these predictions.
This market resolves around Sep 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final team totals for Northwestern and Indiana will be sourced from official game statistics. The market will settle based on the actual combined score achieved by both teams during the game. Any adjustments or official rulings regarding the game’s outcome will be taken into consideration to ensure accurate resolution of this market.
Several signals could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Northwestern or Indiana would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest conditions favoring one team’s style of play, could also move the market. Finally, significant shifts in public perception, perhaps driven by expert analysis or updated statistical models, could influence trader behavior and alter the odds. These factors will all contribute to the dynamic pricing of this market until resolution.
