These markets track how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Northwestern and Indiana. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined in that quarter.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Northwestern vs Indiana college football game scheduled for September 25, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored during the 4th quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, trading remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds, as they aggregate the wisdom of many traders. Sportsbooks set initial lines to balance action, while this market allows participants to freely express their beliefs, leading to a more refined probability assessment. However, sportsbook odds are readily available and widely publicized, offering a common point of comparison for those new to prediction markets. It’s common to see differences, particularly as new information emerges or public perception shifts, impacting both sets of odds.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the outcome of the Northwestern vs Indiana 4th quarter. The price of a contract represents the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to set accurate prices, as they profit from correctly predicting the event's outcome. As more traders participate, the price converges towards a consensus view, reflecting the collective intelligence of the market participants. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market remains responsive to new information and changing expectations.
This market resolves around Sep 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 4th quarter of the Northwestern vs Indiana game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The total points scored in the 4th quarter will be used to determine the winning contracts. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the result. Traders will be able to see the final outcome reflected in their account balances shortly after the game concludes and the official results are released.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Northwestern or Indiana would likely cause significant movement, as it impacts scoring potential. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also shift expectations. Game-day performance in the first three quarters, especially if one team establishes a substantial lead, may lead to traders adjusting their predictions. Even late-breaking news about coaching decisions or team strategies could influence the market price before resolution.
