These markets focus on predicting whether the combined second-half scoring in a specific college football game will exceed various thresholds. The outcomes depend solely on points scored after halftime, including any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (including overtime) of the Northwestern vs Indiana college football game scheduled for September 25, 2026. Each market has a different threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the specified threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored in the second half count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, which can sometimes differ from sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and ensure profit, while this market is driven purely by participants’ beliefs about the likely outcome. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Analyzing these differences can offer insights into public sentiment and potential value for informed bettors. This comparison can be a useful tool for anyone interested in sports wagering.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different possible outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the market's implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for real-time adjustments based on new information and changing opinions, providing a unique perspective on the potential for a high- or low-scoring second half.
This market resolves around Sep 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total score of the second half of the Northwestern vs Indiana game will be used to determine the winning contracts. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and accurate outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or settle any outstanding positions based on the verified result.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries on either team would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team's playing style, could also shift the odds. In-game performance during the first half, such as a dominant offensive display or a strong defensive showing, could also lead to adjustments. Unexpected coaching decisions or late-breaking news about team morale could also move this market as traders react to new information.
