Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbook odds are typically set by analysts who consider various factors, such as team statistics and player injuries. This market, however, is driven by the collective predictions of individuals trading on Kalshi. While both aim to predict the outcome, differences can arise due to varying information sources and biases. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information, especially if it's not widely reflected in public opinion or sportsbook lines.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of each outcome. The price of a contract reflects the market’s assessment of that outcome’s likelihood. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy into a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to incorporate new information and changing sentiment. The current price indicates what traders are willing to pay for a contract that pays out if their predicted outcome occurs in the Northern Illinois vs Arizona game.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning team of the 2nd quarter of the Northern Illinois vs Arizona game will determine the outcome. The official game results, as reported by a trusted sports data source, will be used to verify the winner. Traders who correctly predicted the 2nd quarter winner will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution.
