On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, while Kalshi utilizes a different order book structure. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. This difference in mechanics can lead to price discrepancies, even when both platforms are tracking the same underlying event. Furthermore, the user base and trading activity on each platform can vary, influencing the prevailing sentiment and price. Market-specific factors, such as differing fees or trading limits, can also contribute to these divergences. These factors mean that the implied probabilities on each platform may not always align.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds on this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Northern Arizona or Montana State teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they could affect playing conditions, could also move the market. Furthermore, any unexpected developments related to team morale, coaching changes, or even public sentiment could influence traders' predictions and alter the probabilities reflected in this market. Monitoring these signals can help you understand potential shifts in the market.
