Description
This event is for the CBB game between North Dakota State Bison and Michigan State Spartans on March 19 at 12:00 AM ET.
If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed.
If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50.
Kalshi and Polymarket resolve on fundamentally different scopes: Kalshi settles on the first-half result only, while Polymarket settles on the full-game result including overtime. This means the same game outcome will resolve differently across platforms.
Hero Tip:
If you trade on Kalshi, you are betting on first-half outcome only (any team winning or a tie resolves YES). If you trade on Polymarket, you are betting on the full game. A team could win the first half on Kalshi but lose the full game on Polymarket—resulting in opposite resolutions. Ensure your position matches your intended time horizon.
Critical Divergence Points:
Kalshi: Outlier: Resolves on first-half regulation time result only. All three outcomes (Michigan St. win, North Dakota St. win, or tie in the first half) resolve to YES. Key quote: 'If Michigan St. is the winner of the first half of regulation time... then the market resolves to Yes' and 'If Tie is the result of the first half of regulation time... then the market resolves to Yes.'
Polymarket: Aligned with standard full-game settlement: Resolves on final score including any overtime periods. Moneyline market resolves to the team name that wins the full game; spread markets resolve based on final margin; over/under markets resolve based on combined final score. Key quote: 'The result will be determined based on the final score including any overtime periods.'
