Description

These markets evaluate how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between North Carolina and Clemson. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific period.

Kalshi

All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the fourth quarter of the North Carolina vs Clemson college football game scheduled for September 19, 2026, excluding any overtime periods. Each market has a specific threshold (ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points) that must be exceeded for the market to resolve to 'Yes'. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original scheduled time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Only points scored during regulation fourth-quarter play count toward these markets.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially before significant events or breaking news. These differences can arise from varying levels of information or differing interpretations of available data. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view of potential outcomes.

On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the total points scored in the 4th quarter will be over or under a certain threshold. As more traders participate, the price of these contracts fluctuates, reflecting the collective expectation. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price represents the probability of that outcome occurring, with higher prices indicating a greater perceived chance. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations.

This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the total points scored in the 4th quarter of the North Carolina vs Clemson game will be used to determine whether the 'over' or 'under' outcome prevails. The official game statistics, as reported by a trusted sports data source, will serve as the basis for verifying the final score and settling the market. No further action is required from traders once the game concludes.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries for either North Carolina or Clemson would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong winds, could also affect scoring expectations. Late-breaking news about coaching strategies or team morale could also shift trader sentiment. Finally, even the flow of betting action itself – a sudden surge in volume on one side of the market – can cause the price to move, reflecting changing beliefs about the likely outcome.
