This market refers to the cricket match between Cayman Islands and Bermuda scheduled for September 27 2026 at 2:30 PM ET in North American Cup T20I. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying interpretations of the teams' strengths. Comparing the two can be a valuable exercise for informed decision-making, though it's important to remember each represents a unique form of forecasting.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price fluctuates, reflecting the evolving consensus. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to changes in perceived likelihood, offering a real-time assessment of the event's potential results.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the North American Cup T20I match between the Cayman Islands and Bermuda. This includes confirming the winning team as determined by the official scorekeeping and governing bodies of the tournament. The platform will verify the result against established sources to ensure accuracy and transparency in the final settlement of this market.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, player injuries, or changes in weather conditions could significantly shift the perceived probabilities. Unexpected performance in preceding matches, or even pre-match analysis from sports commentators, can also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, large-volume trades from informed participants could create momentum and drive price movements. Monitoring these signals will be key to understanding how this market evolves as the match approaches.
