Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can express that view through this market, driving the odds closer to what they perceive as the true probability. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Ajoie vs. Kloten Flyers match. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the market price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event's likelihood. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand, with higher demand for shares in a particular outcome increasing its price and implied probability.

This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Ajoie vs. Kloten Flyers match, as reported by official sources. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome corresponds to the actual event outcome. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or adjust their positions based on the final result.

Several signals could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, team performance, or changes in coaching strategies for either Ajoie or Kloten Flyers could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about the match schedule or venue could also have an impact. Furthermore, broader trends in hockey league standings or public perception of team strengths could contribute to price movements. Major upsets in other related matches might also cause traders to reassess their probabilities for this event.
