The exact final score reported by authoritative sports news sources will determine which contracts pay out, closing the market once the match officially ends and results are widely disseminated.
Injuries to key players, weather conditions affecting the match, or shifting team form in the days leading up to the game could all move this market. Major betting spikes or news from coaches and analysts may also cause rapid re-pricing, especially as the event nears. Traders watch for any development that changes the perceived likelihood of particular scorelines, with volume often spiking around practice reports or lineup announcements.
