Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one aggregate the beliefs of traders who have real money at stake on outcomes. Traders in this market may price the second half result differently than traditional oddsmakers, especially as match conditions unfold. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs from professional bookmaking estimates.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different second half outcomes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative trading activity and the current balance of buy and sell orders. As traders place bets, the price adjusts dynamically to reflect shifting expectations. This continuous repricing ensures the market stays responsive to new information and allows participants to enter or exit positions at transparent, real-time rates.
This market resolves around Jul 28, 2026, once the second half of the NK Celje vs. Egnatia match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome will be determined by the final score or result recorded in the second half only, independent of the first half. Resolution occurs after the match is officially completed and confirmed through standard sports reporting channels. Traders should monitor the event schedule to ensure they are aware of the exact kickoff time and any potential delays.
Several factors could shift this market significantly before resolution. Team news such as injuries, lineup changes, or tactical adjustments announced before kickoff will likely trigger repricing. First half performance is a major catalyst—if one team dominates early, traders may adjust their second half outcome expectations accordingly. Weather conditions, referee assignments, and any controversial decisions during the first half could also influence how traders position themselves. Real-time momentum and momentum shifts during the match itself will drive continuous price adjustments as new information becomes available.
