Prediction market odds on this market reflect crowd-sourced forecasts, adjusting continuously as traders buy and sell shares. Sportsbook odds, by contrast, include a built-in profit margin for the bookmaker and may weigh additional factors like historical performance or public bias. Typically, prediction markets offer sharper, more volatile pricing, especially with volume of $66, while sportsbooks present a more stable but less precise implied probability for each outcome.
On Polymarket and Predict, prices can diverge because each platform attracts different user bases and liquidity levels. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one venue might see heavier betting from local fans, skewing its odds. Additionally, differences in available liquidity — such as 24-hour volume of $64 — can amplify price swings. These factors combine to create varying probability estimates for who will score first on each platform.
