Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market's odds may lead or lag sportsbook lines depending on information flow and trader conviction. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs, though both are estimates of the true probability of each exact scoreline.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on trader buys and sells. Each exact score outcome has its own contract, and the price of each reflects the cumulative belief of all traders holding or trading that contract. As traders buy or sell a particular scoreline, its price moves up or down in real time. The most heavily traded outcomes typically command the highest prices, signaling the market's strongest conviction about the likely result.
This market resolves around Jul 23, 2026, once the match concludes and the final score is confirmed. The outcome is determined by the exact scoreline at full time, verified against credible public sources covering the event. Traders holding contracts matching the actual result receive their payout, while all other positions expire worthless. Resolution is automatic once the score is finalized and recorded in the market's system.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—typically shifts odds for specific scorelines. Recent form, head-to-head history, and betting market movement on related markets can also influence trader positioning. Weather conditions or venue factors may alter expectations about goal-scoring patterns. As the match date approaches, late-breaking roster updates or tactical announcements often trigger repricing. During the match itself, early goals, red cards, or momentum swings will cause sharp moves in the odds for remaining possible outcomes.
