Prediction market odds, such as those found on Polymarket and Predict, often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd and differing incentives. Sportsbooks set odds to ensure profitability, factoring in a house edge, while prediction markets allow participants to directly bet against each other. This market reflects the collective intelligence of traders, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as more information becomes available. However, sportsbook odds can be influenced by public perception and marketing, creating discrepancies with the more rational pricing seen in prediction markets. The current volume of $84 suggests active trading and evolving probabilities.
