Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Nigeria and Sierra Leone scheduled for September 23 2026 at 5:00 AM ET in Nigeria Quadrangular T20 Series. The outcome corresponding to Nigeria will be considered correct if Nigeria is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Sierra Leone will be considered correct if Sierra Leone is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome in the Nigeria vs Sierra Leone toss, the odds here can diverge. It’s common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbooks, especially when there’s asymmetric information or strong opinions not fully captured by conventional odds-making.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the Nigeria vs Sierra Leone toss. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts to reflect the evolving consensus. The current price indicates the market’s assessment of the likelihood of each team winning the toss, and traders can capitalize on perceived mispricings by taking opposing positions.

This market resolves around Sep 30, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the officially recorded result of the toss preceding the Nigeria vs Sierra Leone match. The team declared the winner of the toss will determine the outcome of this market. The platform will verify the result against official sources to ensure accuracy and transparency in the resolution process.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market leading up to the Nigeria vs Sierra Leone match. Any news regarding player form, potential weather conditions affecting the toss, or even perceived biases in the toss itself could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about team lineups or changes in playing conditions could also trigger price movements. Furthermore, large trades by influential participants could create short-term volatility, potentially influencing the price of shares in this market until the toss is officially conducted.
