This market will resolve to "YES" if Neymar records a strictly greater number of goal contributions (goals + assists) than Lionel Messi across all matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup main tournament. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "NO." Goals scored in penalty shootouts do not count toward this market. This market will resolve as soon as both Neymar and Lionel Messi have completed their participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup and official final goal contribution totals are available. If the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2026, 23:59 UTC, or official final goal contribution totals for Neymar and Lionel Messi are not available within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "NO." The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA.com; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For individual player performance metrics like goal contributions, sportsbooks may offer limited or no direct betting options, making prediction markets a unique venue for this type of wager. Comparing this market's odds to any available sportsbook lines can reveal whether traders are pricing Neymar's relative output more optimistically or conservatively than professional oddsmakers.
On Limitless, this market is priced through continuous trading between buyers and sellers who stake capital on each outcome. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders submit orders at their preferred price levels, and the market price adjusts as supply and demand shift. Each outcome—Neymar recording more contributions or Messi recording more—has its own contract that trades independently. The current odds reflect the aggregate belief of all active traders on the platform, updated in real time as new positions are entered or closed.
This market resolves around Jul 20, 2026, following the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage and knockout rounds. The outcome is determined by comparing verified goal contributions—goals scored plus assists recorded—for each player across all their tournament appearances. Once the final match is played and official statistics are confirmed from credible public sources, the market settles to the player with the higher total. Traders should monitor official FIFA records and major sports data providers for the final tallies.
Key catalysts include team roster announcements, pre-tournament friendlies, and injury updates for both players. Early World Cup performance—particularly goals and assists in group-stage matches—will likely trigger significant repricing as traders update their expectations based on live data. Changes in playing time, tactical role, or team strength could shift the relative probability. Major injuries, unexpected transfers, or coaching changes affecting either player's minutes or position would also move odds. As the tournament progresses, each match result and statistical update will refine market pricing closer to resolution.
