Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Kalshi and Polymarket resolve based on the official match outcome within 90 minutes plus stoppage time on April 18, 2026, with identical treatment of postponements and cancellations across all three possible outcomes (Newcastle win, Bournemouth win, draw).
Primary resolution logic:
Official Premier League statistics and governing body records, with fallback to credible reporting consensus if official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Newcastle United FC market resolves YES if Newcastle wins within 90 minutes plus stoppage time; resolves NO otherwise.
AFC Bournemouth market resolves YES if Bournemouth wins within 90 minutes plus stoppage time; resolves NO otherwise.
Draw market resolves YES if the match ends in a tie within 90 minutes plus stoppage time; resolves NO otherwise.
Exactly one of the three markets will resolve YES; the other two will resolve NO.
Extra time and penalties are excluded from resolution scope.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the game is completed. Resolution occurs based on the rescheduled match outcome.
Match Cancellation: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game scheduled, Newcastle and Bournemouth win markets resolve NO, while the draw market resolves YES on Polymarket (per explicit rule) and would logically resolve YES on Kalshi as well.
Resolution Source Timing: Primary resolution uses official Premier League statistics. If official statistics are not available within 2 hours of match conclusion, credible reporting consensus may be used as fallback.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of the final match result by the Premier League or governing body, or within 2 hours after match conclusion via credible reporting consensus if official statistics are delayed.
