These markets track whether New Zealand or West Indies will exceed specific run thresholds in their Women's T20 World Cup cricket match scheduled for June 13, 2026. Each team's performance is measured independently across three different scoring benchmarks, allowing bettors to wager on offensive output levels.
Resolution is based on actual runs scored by each team in the completed match. If the match is cancelled before play begins or delayed more than 48 hours from the scheduled start, all markets resolve to fair market price as determined by the Exchange. If play begins but no official result is declared (including via DLS method), markets resolve to fair market price, except for statistics already definitively achieved which resolve on recorded results. For shortened matches with an official result declared through DLS or other ICC-approved methods, statistical markets resolve based on actual recorded runs only, without projections or adjustments. All thresholds are evaluated against the final official run totals recorded for each team.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders risking real capital on their beliefs about the outcome. Prediction markets typically incorporate a broader range of information and can respond faster to breaking news or analytical shifts. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbook lines can reveal where informed traders see value or where consensus estimates differ, though each venue operates independently with its own liquidity and pricing dynamics.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts based on their belief in different run-total outcomes. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each contract represents a specific range or threshold, and the price reflects the cumulative probability assigned by active traders. As new information surfaces—team injuries, pitch conditions, or historical performance data—traders adjust their positions, which moves the price in real time. The spread between bid and ask prices tightens as liquidity increases, rewarding early traders who spot mispricings before the broader market catches up.
This market resolves around Jun 13, 2026, once the New Zealand versus West Indies match concludes and the final combined run total is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official scorecard from the match, which records all runs scored by both teams across their innings. Resolution occurs after the event is complete and the result is confirmed through established sports reporting channels. Traders should monitor official match updates and live scoring feeds to track progress toward settlement.
Several factors can shift prices in this market before the match begins and during play. Team announcements regarding player availability, injuries to key batsmen or bowlers, and last-minute lineup changes often trigger sharp moves. Weather forecasts—particularly wind, humidity, and rain risk—affect pitch conditions and run-scoring potential. Venue-specific factors like ground dimensions, recent pitch reports, and historical scoring trends at the ground also influence trader positioning. Once the match starts, early batting performance, wicket patterns, and momentum swings drive continuous repricing as traders update their run-total expectations in real time.
