Description

This event tracks whether specific players hit home runs during a scheduled baseball game between two teams on a particular date. The outcome depends on the performance of named players in terms of home runs hit during their official at-bats. If players do not participate or do not get a plate appearance, special settlement rules apply.

Kalshi

The event resolves based on whether specified players record home runs during the New York Yankees vs. Chicago Cubs game scheduled for August 1, 2026. For each market, if the designated player records the required number of home runs (1+ or 2+), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Critical participation criteria apply: if a player is scratched, not in the starting lineup, or fails to record a plate appearance, the market resolves to the fair market price. Additionally, pinch-hit at-bats are excluded from consideration. Only players who are in the starting lineup and record at least one plate appearance contribute to the settlement, with outcomes determined solely by the home runs they hit during such appearances.
