On Polymarket and Predict, prices can diverge because each platform attracts different user bases and liquidity patterns. Polymarket and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one venue might see heavier betting from local fans, skewing its odds toward a particular team, while the other balances national or international traders. Liquidity differences also matter — shallow depth on one platform can make its prices more volatile to large trades. Additionally, each platform updates its order book independently, so temporary mismatches are normal until arbitrageurs correct them. These dynamics often produce distinct implied chances for the same event.
