Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market aggregates trader conviction about the first three innings, which may price in nuances—bullpen matchups, recent form, or weather—differently than traditional sportsbooks. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees edge or disagreement.

On Kalshi, this market is priced through continuous order-book trading, where buyers and sellers submit bids and offers that determine the real-time odds. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As new information emerges—lineups, injury reports, or live game action—the price adjusts dynamically to reflect updated expectations.

This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the first three innings of the game are complete and the outcome is verifiable from credible public sources. The resolution hinges on the specific event conditions tied to the market's definition—whether it concerns runs scored, a particular team's performance, or another measurable statistic from that three-inning window. Check the market details for the exact outcome criteria before placing a trade.

Several catalysts could shift odds before this market closes. Lineup announcements, starting pitcher confirmations, and injury updates can reshape expectations for early-game performance. Weather conditions, recent team form, and head-to-head trends in early innings all influence trader positioning. Once play begins, live action in the first three innings will drive final adjustments until resolution.
