This set of markets evaluates individual player and team defensive performances in an upcoming football game, focusing on whether specified participants achieve certain fantasy point thresholds. Each market centers on a different player or unit, with outcomes determined by their statistical contributions during the full match, including any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based on fantasy points accumulated by specified players or team defense/special teams units in the full Pro Football game (including overtime) between New York J and Tennessee, scheduled for Sep 13, 2026. Fantasy points are calculated using Sleeper’s default full-PPR scoring system, which awards points for various statistical categories such as passing/rushing/receiving yards, touchdowns, interceptions, field goals, sacks, defensive plays, and special teams contributions. Players who do not participate or lack a recorded fantasy-point value are treated as scoring zero. The official fantasy-point totals published by Sleeper at market expiration are used for resolution, with no post-expiration adjustments or rounding applied. Each market has a unique threshold; if the designated player or unit exceeds their respective point threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes,' otherwise to 'No.'
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading based on their own information and analysis. As a result, you may find that the implied probabilities in this market diverge from those offered by sportsbooks, potentially offering opportunities for informed traders. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast outcomes as event time approaches.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different fantasy point totals for the New York and Tennessee game. The price of each contract reflects the market's assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders adjust their bids and asks based on new information, leading to dynamic price changes. The more traders believe a specific point total is likely, the higher the price of the corresponding contract will climb. This creates a real-time assessment of expectations.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official fantasy point totals from the New York and Tennessee game are verifiable from credible public reporting. The final fantasy point total, as calculated by a major fantasy sports provider, will determine which contracts pay out. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will receive a payout based on the contract's price at resolution. This ensures a transparent and objective determination of the market's result.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the New York or Tennessee teams would likely cause significant movement. Changes in player matchups, weather forecasts, or even updated statistical projections could also shift expectations. Furthermore, large trading volume from informed participants could signal new information entering the market, causing prices to adjust accordingly. Monitoring these signals can help you understand how the market is interpreting the evolving landscape leading up to the game.
