This event determines which player will gain the most rushing yards in a specific football game between two teams. Each market focuses on a different player’s performance, evaluating whether they achieve the highest ground-gaining statistics among all participants in that contest.
The event resolves based on whether the specified player records the most rushing yards in the designated Pro Football game. If the player does not participate, the market resolves to No. In case of a tie for the most rushing yards among multiple players, the payout is divided equally among all tied outcomes at a rate of 1/N, where N is the number of players tied. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original schedule, the market remains open and resolves according to the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set their odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market incorporates a broader range of information and perspectives from many traders. As more information becomes available – such as injury reports or weather forecasts – this market tends to adjust more quickly than traditional sportsbooks. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially early in the trading period, as the market digests new data and refines its predictions about which player will have the most rushing yards.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the probability of a particular player achieving the most rushing yards. The price of a contract reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy a contract, its price increases, indicating growing confidence in that player. Conversely, selling pressure drives the price down. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, constantly updating as new information emerges.
This market resolves around Sep 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final rushing yard totals for each player are verifiable from credible public reporting. The player with the highest official rushing yardage statistic, as recorded by the NFL, will be considered the winner. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics and will be determined independently of the platform. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings or fulfill their obligations based on their positions in this market.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Injury reports for key running backs on both teams are primary catalysts, as any change in player availability would dramatically shift expectations. Weather conditions, particularly if there’s inclement weather, could favor a run-heavy offensive strategy, influencing which players are likely to accumulate more rushing yards. Unexpected changes in coaching strategy or offensive line performance could also play a role. Finally, any news regarding player matchups or defensive schemes could lead to shifts in the market as traders adjust their predictions.
