This set of markets focuses on predicting whether specific players and teams will exceed designated fantasy point thresholds in an upcoming football game. Each market evaluates individual performance based on detailed statistical contributions, using a standardized scoring system to quantify achievements like yards gained, touchdowns, and defensive plays.
All markets resolve based on fantasy points accumulated by specified players or team defense/special teams units during the full game (including overtime) between the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams, scheduled for September 21, 2026. Fantasy points are calculated using Sleeper’s default full-PPR scoring system, which awards points for passing, rushing, receiving, kicking, and defensive/special teams contributions as detailed in the scoring format. If a player does not participate or is not assigned a fantasy-point value by Sleeper, they are considered to have scored zero points. The official fantasy-point totals published by Sleeper at the time of market expiration are used for resolution, with no adjustments for post-expiration corrections. Markets resolve to "Yes" if the specified athlete or unit records more fantasy points than the stated threshold, and to "No" otherwise.
Prediction market odds often differ from sportsbook odds due to the differing incentives and information sources of participants. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and ensure profit, while prediction market participants are incentivized to express their true beliefs about the outcome. This can lead to prediction markets incorporating a wider range of information, including insights not readily available to sportsbooks. While sportsbooks may initially reflect public perception, this market can shift more dynamically as new information emerges and traders refine their forecasts.
This market resolves around Sep 22, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final fantasy point totals for players from New York and Los Angeles will be used to determine the outcome of this market. The specific point totals will be sourced from official fantasy football providers and verified against credible public sources. Trading will cease once the outcome is known and officially reported, finalizing the results for all participants in this market.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before it resolves. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either team, particularly those expected to score significant fantasy points, would likely cause shifts in the market. Changes in player matchups, such as a favorable or unfavorable defensive opponent, could also impact trading activity. Additionally, any updates on weather conditions that might affect passing or rushing attacks could influence the perceived probabilities of different outcomes in this market.
