In the upcoming MLS game between New York City FC and Toronto FC, scheduled for July 31, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the New York City FC vs. Toronto FC match originally scheduled for July 31, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
All markets resolve based exclusively on the final score after 90 minutes plus stoppage time in the New York City FC vs Toronto FC professional MLS soccer match scheduled for July 31, 2026. Each market corresponds to a specific numerical score outcome—either a win for one team or a draw—with resolution occurring only if the match concludes exactly with the stated score within regular time. Extra time, penalty shootouts, or any post-regulation proceedings do not affect resolution, meaning only the score at the end of the standard 90-minute period (including added stoppage time) determines the outcome. Each unique scoreline constitutes a separate market, and only the market matching the actual final score will resolve positively; all others resolve negatively regardless of whether the match ends in a close or decisive result.
Prediction market odds on this market often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect real-time trader sentiment and can adjust more rapidly to new information. While sportsbooks may offer fixed odds on broader outcomes like match winners or over/under totals, prediction markets let participants speculate on the precise final score, capturing nuances that standard bets sometimes overlook.
On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary due to differences in user bases, liquidity, and market design. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For instance, one platform might attract more local fans, skewing its probabilities, while the other could reflect a more global, neutral perspective. Additionally, each venue sets its own fee structure, which influences how traders place bets and therefore how odds shift.
