This set of markets tracks the margin of victory in an upcoming college football game, allowing participants to speculate on how decisively either team might win. Each market corresponds to a specific point differential threshold that determines its outcome.
All markets resolve based on the official point differential from the New Hampshire vs Sacred Heart college football game scheduled for September 26, 2026. If Sacred Heart wins by exceeding the specified point margin defined in each market (ranging from 3.5 to 27.5 points), that market resolves to Yes; if New Hampshire wins by exceeding its defined margin (1.5 to 20.5 points), the corresponding market resolves to Yes. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original start time, all markets remain active and resolve according to the final result. Should the game fail to start within this 48-hour window, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants regardless of the specific point differential conditions.
Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market represents the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to be accurate. As a result, you may find discrepancies between the two. It’s common to see prediction markets move more quickly to incorporate new information, such as injury reports or weather forecasts, than sportsbooks do. Comparing the two can offer a more comprehensive understanding of the event’s potential outcomes.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their beliefs about the New Hampshire vs Sacred Heart spread. The price of these contracts fluctuates based on supply and demand. When more traders believe New Hampshire will cover the spread, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to aggregate information and reflect the collective forecast of all participants. The current price represents the probability of the spread being less than the listed value.
This market resolves around Sep 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final point spread of the New Hampshire vs Sacred Heart game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result reported by the governing body of college football. The market will settle to 100 if New Hampshire covers the spread, and 0 if they do not. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will receive a payout based on the price they bought or sold their contracts at.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before the game concludes. Key injuries to starting players on either New Hampshire or Sacred Heart would likely cause a shift in the spread. Unexpected changes in weather conditions, such as heavy rain or strong winds, could also influence the market, particularly if one team is more susceptible to adverse weather. Significant news regarding team morale, coaching changes, or even travel disruptions could also move the market as traders adjust their expectations based on the latest information.
