Description

This set of markets focuses on determining which player will achieve the highest number of rushing yards in an upcoming football game between New England and Seattle. Each market is tied to a specific player, and the outcome depends on whether that player leads all participants in rushing yardage during the contest.

Kalshi

Each market resolves based on whether the specified player records the most rushing yards in the New England vs Seattle Pro Football game scheduled for Sep 9, 2026. If the designated player does not participate, the market resolves to No. In the event of a tie for the most rushing yards among players, the payout is divided equally among all tied markets, calculated as 1/N, where N is the number of players tied. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original schedule, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi disclaims any official affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own modeling and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to openly express their beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply variations in how each assesses the probabilities. It's common to see prediction markets move more efficiently as new information becomes available, potentially offering a more accurate forecast than initial sportsbook lines.

On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes—in this case, which player will have the most rushing yards. The price of each contract reflects the market's collective probability assessment of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the prices adjust dynamically, providing a real-time indication of expectations. The closer we get to the event, the more the price will reflect the perceived likelihood of each player winning.

This market resolves around Sep 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The player with the most official rushing yards as recorded by the NFL will be deemed the winner. Official NFL statistics will be used to determine the final result, ensuring an objective and verifiable outcome. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the winning player will receive a payout, while those holding contracts for losing players will not.

Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding player injuries to key running backs on either team would likely cause significant shifts. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions for running the ball, could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected coaching decisions regarding playing time or offensive strategies could also move the market. Finally, any late-breaking news about player matchups or defensive schemes could lead to adjustments in the perceived probabilities of each player achieving the most rushing yards.
