In the upcoming MLS game between New England Revolution and Toronto FC, scheduled for July 22, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the New England Revolution vs. Toronto FC match originally scheduled for July 22, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Resolution is based on the final goal differential in the New England vs Toronto professional MLS soccer game originally scheduled for July 22, 2026, measured after 90 minutes plus stoppage time (excluding extra time or penalties). Markets resolve Yes if New England wins by more than 2.5 or 1.5 goals, or if Toronto wins by more than 1.5 or 2.5 goals respectively. Each spread threshold operates independently, allowing bettors to take positions on different victory margin scenarios for either team.
Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, often adjusting lines based on bet flow rather than pure probability. Prediction markets, by contrast, rely on continuous trader participation and arbitrage to converge toward true odds. This market's prices reflect what thousands of independent traders believe will happen, without a house edge built in. Many bettors find prediction market odds more efficient for exact-score outcomes, since the crowd's distributed knowledge often outpaces sportsbook models on niche wagers.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, fee structures, and liquidity pools, which can push prices apart even when both are pricing the same event. Polymarket and Kalshi may also enforce slightly different rules around order types, settlement timing, or dispute resolution, creating arbitrage opportunities. Market depth varies between venues too—one platform might have deeper liquidity in exact-score outcomes while the other concentrates volume on broader bets like goal differential. Traders monitoring both sites can sometimes exploit these gaps, though transaction costs and withdrawal delays often limit pure arbitrage. Over time, as the match approaches, prices typically converge.
Key injury announcements, lineup changes, or managerial decisions can shift odds significantly, especially if star players are ruled out. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions on match day all influence trader sentiment. Major betting syndicates or sharp money entering either venue can trigger rapid repricing across both platforms. Team news released in the 24 to 48 hours before kickoff often produces the sharpest moves, as uncertainty resolves. Live-match developments—early goals, red cards, or tactical shifts—will drive continuous repricing right up until the final whistle, making this an active market for intraday traders.
