This event group covers an NBA Summer League matchup between the Memphis Grizzlies and Chicago Bulls scheduled for July 10, 2026 at 8:00 PM ET. Polymarket offers a binary winner-take-all market, while Kalshi provides spread-based markets across multiple point differential thresholds.
In the upcoming NBA Summer League game, scheduled for July 10 at 8:00PM ET: If the Memphis Grizzlies win, the market will resolve to "Memphis Grizzlies". If the Chicago Bulls win, the market will resolve to "Chicago Bulls". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve 50-50. The result will be determined based on the final score including any overtime periods.
Resolution is determined by the final point differential in the Chicago vs Memphis game. For Memphis victories, the market resolves Yes if Memphis wins by more than 1.5, 3.5, 6.5, 9.5, 12.5, 15.5, or 18.5 points. For Chicago victories, the market resolves Yes if Chicago wins by more than 1.5, 3.5, or 6.5 points. Each spread threshold represents a distinct outcome; only the applicable spread(s) matching the actual final margin will resolve to Yes. Games that end in a tie or are postponed/cancelled may have different resolution procedures as specified in secondary rules.
Polymarket and Kalshi attract different trader demographics, regulatory frameworks, and contract designs, all of which influence pricing. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Polymarket's broader user base and continuous order-book model can produce faster price discovery, while Kalshi's regulated derivatives structure and specific outcome definitions may appeal to institutional traders seeking precise exposure. Liquidity depth, fee structures, and the exact wording of each platform's outcome also create natural price gaps that savvy traders exploit through cross-platform arbitrage.
Key catalysts include roster announcements and injury updates for both teams, preseason performance trends, and any trades or roster moves affecting player availability. Media coverage highlighting standout performers or coaching strategies can shift sentiment quickly. Weather conditions on game day, venue changes, or unexpected lineup decisions announced shortly before tip-off often trigger sharp price moves. Additionally, early Summer League results from other teams and broader NBA narrative shifts—such as draft analysis or free-agent signings—can indirectly influence how traders price this specific matchup.
