Frequently asked questions

The Polymarket dashboard for the Mavericks vs. Warriors Summer League matchup displays real-time odds and historical price movements as traders buy and sell shares tied to the game's outcome. You can monitor the current implied probability for each team, review 24-hour volume activity, and track how sentiment has shifted since the market opened. This live data reflects the collective forecast of prediction market participants and updates continuously as new information emerges about player availability, injuries, or lineup decisions ahead of tipoff.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different audiences and operate under different constraints. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets reflect pure trader belief without the same profit-margin requirements. This market's odds may lead or lag traditional sportsbook spreads depending on information flow and trader conviction. Comparing the two can reveal where the broader market sees value or disagreement, though each venue has its own liquidity and participant base that influences pricing.

On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the current probability assigned by the market; as more traders back one outcome, that share's price rises and the competing outcome's price falls. Liquidity depth and recent trading volume influence how quickly prices respond to news. You can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, with your entry price determined by the current order book state.

This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, once the Summer League game concludes and the final result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the matchup; there is no point-spread or handicap involved. Resolution occurs after official confirmation from the NBA or recognized sports data providers, ensuring accuracy before payouts are distributed to winning traders.

Key catalysts include announced roster changes, injury reports, and player rest decisions from either franchise. Preseason performance by key contributors, coaching adjustments, and recent form in other Summer League games can shift trader sentiment. Media reports about player development goals or experimental lineups may also influence odds. Additionally, any last-minute roster swaps or unexpected absences announced close to tipoff typically trigger sharp price movements as traders react to new information about team composition and competitive balance.
