On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price adjusts dynamically, reflecting the evolving consensus. The current probability of a particular fighter winning is determined by the share price relative to $1.
This market resolves around Oct 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Oleksandr Mytsyk vs. Ovsiienko match, as declared by the relevant boxing authorities. The platform will verify the result against established sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be paid out according to the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before Oct 1, 2026. Any news regarding fighter injuries, changes in training regimens, or even pre-fight press conference statements could shift market sentiment. Unexpected developments in the fighters’ preparation, or reports about their physical condition, are likely to cause price fluctuations. Public opinion, as reflected in polls or expert analyses, could also play a role, though the market ultimately reflects the willingness of traders to take a position.
