Prediction market odds often offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and incorporate a profit margin, this market reflects the wisdom of the crowd. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, the prediction market may diverge, showing a different probability for a particular outcome. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before major events, as new information emerges and market participants update their assessments. Examining these differences can be a valuable exercise for anyone interested in understanding public perception.

On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now.
